Hawai‘i’s most majestic marine mammals are back! Each year December to May, scientists estimate that two-thirds of the entire North Pacific humpback whale population return to Hawai‘i to breed, calve and nurse their young! Humpback whales, or koholā in the Hawaiian language, can be seen from every island and there are a variety of ways for you to experience these awe-inspiring animals from both sea and shore. *We send you off with a whale-watching guide so you can witness the wonder and majesty of some of the world’s largest and most peaceful creatures! Here's what we have for you to choose from on the water!
Island of Hawai‘i
Over on the island of Hawai‘i, the Kohola Talk is an unforgettable storytelling experience aboard the Kalama Kai, Mauna Lani’s 42-foot power boat. For more intimate whale-watching experience, we have Whale Watching Tours for personal small group tours on Zodiac rafts!

For something extra special, you can take a sunset tour to encounter humpback whales as the sun goes down. If boats aren’t your thing, you can still catch a glimpse of the humpbacks from shore at Pu‘ukoholā Heiau National Historic Site. In addition to whales, dolphins and black-tipped reef sharks are common sightings.

As a new visitor or returning, the six unique islands offer distinct experiences! Home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes, birthplace of surfing and hula. Former seat of a royal kingdom. Hawaii is one of the youngest geological formations in the world and the youngest state of the union. The Aloha Spirit complements the Islands’ perfect temperatures and pristine beaches. Home of the magestic whales, for birthing, calving, and breaching!

Pre-Arrival: Climate: Beautifully balmy with plenty of sun and cooling trade winds combine for year round comfy conditions. Short, intermittent showers are "blessings." Then look for your rainbow! Average temps: Apr-Nov 75°-88° F. Dec- Mar 68°-80° F. Average water temperature: 74° F.

How to Dress: Shorts in the daytime, sandals or walking shoes, short sleeve shirts, hat, sunglasses and swimsuit! Evenings casual pants and shirts for men and women, dresses for women, sport coat (if plans are a fine dining restaurant), a light jacket or sweater.

What Can I Bring: No plants or animals.  You must declare an animal and turn them in to airport Animal Quarantine Holding Facility.  Call months in advance for instructions.

Getting Married in Hawaii? Hawaii is beautiful - a marriage here is an ideal way for couples to start life together!  The legal age to marry is 18 years with valid I.D. or driver's license. Proof of age is required. A certified copy of a birth certificate must be presented for under 18 years.

Packing Tips: TSA is ever changing so check with your airline on baggage declarations.

Post Arrival
Baggage Claim: Go to lower level Main Terminal for baggage. Take the free Wiki-Wiki (Hawaiian word for speedy), shuttle, or walk and following the signs (less then a 10-minute stroll) Take the free Wiki-Wiki Shuttle to other terminals or take a 15-19 minute walk!

Transportation: rental cars are on Oahu, Kauai, Hawaii, Maui & Molokai. Oahu has "The Bus," a public bus that goes around the entire island for a couple of dollars. Choose airport transfers to your hotel or if you want, rent a car for a few days. Be prepared to pay premium for parking - there's just no room.  The Bus is easy and fun. Maui, Kauai and Hawaii do require a car to get around on the other hand.

The Hawaiian Islands are a 'Mecca' for tours and activities. We will share a list of things to do and we can book them in advance to be sure you get what you want.  Best for destination weddings and family groups. The Hawaii activities and Hawaii tours are full of unique experiences (more than 1500 island activities and tours)!  Maui over 600; Oahu over 400; Hawaii over 300; and Kauai over 200. Like the islands, none of the activities and tours are the same! We know the flora and fauna, adventure and treasures and want to share them including farm to table based on your tastes, styles, and passions. The geography, weather patterns, and experiences on each island, and even on each part of the islands, are very different!

Returning Home
