Day 1Depart USAMon. MIAMI-GUATEMALA : Upon arrival you will be accompanied to the Hotel Barcelo Guatemala. (Departures also available from 100 other USA cities -see add-ons below).
Day 2CopanTue. GUATEMALA-COPAN : This morning you will drive through the eastern part of Guatemala, via the states of El Progreso and Zacapa, to arrive at the border with Honduras. After immigration formalities, you will drive to Copan, one of the most fascinating Mayan ruin sites. You will be allowed to explore and marvel at the beautiful stellae and majestic temples, including a complete ball court. Overnight Posada Real de Copan or Hotel Marina. (AB)
Day 3Guatemala CityWed. COPAN-QUIRIGUA-GUATEMALA CITY : After breakfast you will return to Guatemalan territory to visit the archaeological site of Quirigua. Some of the most interesting and beautiful Mayan stellae are found at Quirigua in the state of Izabal. In the afternoon you will return to Guatemala City. Hotel Barcelo Guatemala (AB)
Day 4ChichicastenangoThu. GUATEMALA-CHICHICASTENANGO : Early in the morning depart for Chichicastenango. On arrival you will visit the colorful open air market and the Church of Santo Thomas .Afternoon at leisure for some shopping. Overnight at famous Mayan Inn. (AB)
Day 5AtitlanFri. CHICHICASTENANGO-ATITLAN : AM Depart for Lake Atitlan to join the boat excursion to the picturesque village of Santiago de Atitlan. Afternoon to walk and shop in this quaint town. Overnight at hotel Porta Del Lago. (AB)
Day 6AntiguaSat. ATITLAN -ANTIGUA : AM Depart for Antigua where you will visit the most intersting sites; churches, convents, monasteries and other colonial buildings. Overnight at hotel Casa Santo Domingo or hotel Porta Antigua or new hotel Las Faraolas. (AB)
Day 7GuatemalaSun. ANTIGUA-GUATEMALA : Morning at leisure to enjoy Antigua on your own. In the afternoon return to Guatemala city. Overnight at Hotel Barcelo Guatemala. (AB)
Day 8TikalMon. GUATEMALA-TIKAL : Today you will go back more than 2,000 years in time when you visit the Tikal National Park. Early morning you will be picked up at your hotel for transfer to the airport to board the flight to Flores, Peten . On arrival, our representative will take you to the Mayan City of Tikal which is located in the center of the National Park that bears its name, and has an extension of 222 square miles. Tikal was inhabited from 600 BC., till 869 AD. Its highlight was between 690 till 850 AD., a time period known by archaeologists as the Late Classic. Visit the Twin-Pyramid Complexes "Q" and "R", Lost World Complex where the Great Pyramid and Temple 5C-49 are the most important. Also, visit Temple III and the Palace of the Windows, the Great Plaza, squared off with the pyramids of the Grand Jaguar and the Masks, the Palace of the Nobles, and Pyramid IV. This one is the highest of the Mayan pyramids, from its top a complete view of Tikal and its surrounding jungle can be enjoyed. Overnight at hotel Camino Real overlooking Lake Peten. (AB,L)
Day 9BelizeTue. TIKAL-BELIZE : Transfer to the airport for flight to Belize City and the hotel Biltmore. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 10LamanaiWed. BELIZE-LAMANAI : Full day excursion by car and by boat to explore the remote Mayan site of Lamanai (3,500 years old). Along the way you encounter some howler monkeys. Mid-afternoon return to Belize City. Hotel Biltmore. (L)
Day 11XunantuninchThu. BELIZE-XUNANTUNINCH : Full day excursion where you will cross the Mopan River by a hand operated cable ferry to visit the tallest Mayan site in Belize (130 feet). Return to Belize City. Hotel Biltmore. (L)
Day 12Ambergris CayeFri. BELIZE-AMBERGRIS CAYE : Morning flight to the-picturesque town of San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) with transfer to hotel Sunbreeze. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 13Ambergris CayeSat. AMBERGRIS CAYE : Time to relax and enjoy the beaches or the atmosphere of Ambergris which is very diferent from other Caribbean destinations. Fishing and diving packages available upon request along the worlds second largest barrier reef.
Day 14Return USASun. AMBERGRIS-BELIZE-MIAMI : Transfer to the airport for flight to Belize to connect with flight to Miami.
